Hi Tad. This is Don DeLiere . Matt Deliere's Dad . I know you remember Matt. I think you were able to remember almost all of your students. I wanted to let you know that Matt is in medical school . You had a hand in it too. Your teaching him the physical control and the mental concentration that it takes to pitch carried over into college and now medical school. Matt graduated from Pepperdine a couple of years ago. He did very well. It took him fours years to get a degree in biology . No easy feat in itself. Stamina and to figure out a way to finish what you start . He called me his freshman year and said he could either be a baseball player or a doctor . I'm glad he made the decision he did . He wants to be a surgeon . He was able to travel to Mexico last summer wiuth a group of ear doctors. His mentor let him do some surgerys . You might like to know that the same hands you taught to throw a chang-up and how to make a fastball move have been on the inside of a childs ear. Helping to restore her hearing . Pretty amazing . I just wanted to let you know that you were a great influence on him . A very positive influence . I thank you very much .
